In Ciao Dott. Chacot,2007. I choose several video clips from my personal library to freely approach La Salpêtrière, the French Fin de siècle famous clinic for indigents, epileptics, and mentally deranged, mainly women. Directed by Dr. Jean-Martin Charcot from 1862 to 1893.
The VJ (video jockey or live video) technology, because its spontaneity, is for me a very useful tool to reflect. Like the words on a text, images create their own world, a narrative with its own rules.
The music is by S.A.D.O (Società Anonima Decostruzionismi Organici) From the record "La Differanza".
